What to Expect on Your First Visit to a Prenatal Chiropractor at KOEO

Your first visit to a prenatal chiropractor is designed to be a comprehensive and personalised experience. Find out what happens at your first visit with Sophie, our Prenatal Chiropractor, at KOEO in Barcelona.

1. Online Questionnaire: Before your visit, you'll fill in an online questionnaire. Tailored questions delve into your general health, the progress of your pregnancy, and any specific challenges you're facing. This information lays the foundation for understanding your unique situation.

2. In-Depth Consultation: Upon arriving at KOEO, Sophie will spend time going through your health and pregnancy history. Further questions help her gain insights into your specific needs and concerns, ensuring a tailored approach to your care.

3. Infrared Scan for Nervous System Assessment: A key aspect of your first visit involves a non-invasive infrared scan to assess the health of your central nervous system. This technology is safe for pregnant women and provides valuable insights into the functioning of your nervous system.

4. Comprehensive Physical Assessment: Sophie will then conduct a thorough physical assessment, examining your spine, body, pelvis, alignment, posture, muscle and soft tissue tension, and range of movement. This holistic approach allows her to understand the intricacies of your body and identify areas that may require attention.

5. Gentle Adjustment with Specialised Pregnancy Pillow: After the assessment, you'll receive your first gentle adjustment. At KOEO, we use a specially designed pregnancy pillow, allowing you to lie facedown comfortably for a short time while your pelvis is assessed and adjusted.

6. Rest and Recheck: Following the adjustment, you'll rest for 15 minutes in our specially designed resting suite. Following this rest, Sophie will recheck you. These post-checks ensure Sophie can confirm improvements your body has made from your adjustment, and ensure that you are always leaving the office in better shape than when you arrived.

7. Personalised Care Plan: Sophie will outline a personalised schedule of care based on your unique situation. Factors such as the number of weeks pregnant, your goals, and your body's current status all contribute to crafting the most effective care plan for you.

If you have questions or want to discuss your situation directly with Sophie, you can book a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to gain more insights into how prenatal chiropractic care can support you during this special time.
